Why Companies Don't Get Back To You

Why is it that none of the big companies inform you why you have not got past the 1st stage? The responses they send are all generic! I put in the effort to fill out the forms correctly but they do not even bother to call you with a reason so at least you know why you are not getting anywhere.”It’s in their policies, it’s possible a legal reason.I know it would be nice for them to give you some insight about why you haven’t progressed but imagine how many people would generally apply for the one position… They could be there for weeks.Time consuming! Sorry since the sheer volume of applications most jobs not just in mining receive it is never going to happen
Actually if you even get a generic response you’re doing well.. Load of company’s don’t comment. Some take months to start the interview process.

you may have to improve your resume and cover sheet just keep sending it in and ring them every day till you get what you want don’t give up there already getting paid annoy them to till they get back to you it will happen with persistence

When you are one applicant in 200 do you really think they are going to give you a personal sorry kiddo?

maybe they should work out a better system then if they want to run professional businesses” they want people to work for them they should be the ones chasing people up for work that have put the effort in, whether your number 1 on the list or 100″i have generally received emails in returns but a lot of people don’t & should get replies.

They must all have some kind if rating/culling system in place due simply to the volume of applications. How else do they shortlist? It wouldn’t take much to send generic feedback based on this criteria and this may even be helpful to the applicants.

The next time you get asked if you have experience……don’t say no, say you have the knowledge and the awareness of operating safely within a mine site and that you can carry your experiences over where you can apply your trade in the sector.

legally they have to advertise a job when a lot of the time someone who works there has a friend or relative that will pretty much have that job before it is advertised
